The Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) today announced the successful completion of a new physiotherapy block at the Sheikh Muhd Jidda General Hospital (SMJGH). This significant infrastructure project marks a pivotal step in KHETFUND’s ongoing mission to upgrade medical facilities and enhance the quality of healthcare services available to the residents of Kano State.
The newly constructed block is designed to address the growing need for specialized rehabilitative care. It features dedicated treatment rooms and a spacious environment to cater to patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and strokes, as well as those managing chronic pain conditions. This development is expected to drastically reduce waiting times and provide a conducive environment for effective recovery.
The Kano State Health Trust Fund was established to provide a sustainable financing mechanism for the upgrade and maintenance of health infrastructure, the procurement of medical equipment, and the improvement of overall healthcare delivery in the state.
